German term

Die wahrscheinliche Biege für dieses Projekt wird A/B/C

German to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Tendering / contracts
From a company report about future contracts in the marine construction sector.
A, B, C are the names of companies. I wondered whether Biege is a North German dialect word as the client is working on the coast.

Or bidding consortium.
Steffen Walter Nov 1, 2017:
The BIEGE/BIE-GE ... ... may well become an ARGE if they are selected ;-)
David Hollywood Nov 1, 2017:
agree with Steffen and Johanna
Chris Foster (asker) Oct 31, 2017:
@Johanna Timm Makes perfect sense now I see it in capitals (analogous to ARGE)! Thanks Joanna!
Steffen Walter Oct 31, 2017:
Good one, Johanna How about "joint bidders"? "Joint bidders for this project will probably be A, B and C."
TonyTK Oct 31, 2017:
Nice one, Doc! ...
Johanna Timm, PhD Oct 31, 2017:
Biege Bie-Ge= Bietergemeinschaft
"Bietergemeinschaft – kurz: BIEGE – schienen auf einmal ein Ausnahmefall einer Bieterkonstellation zu sein, obwohl schon die Vergabe- und Vertragsordnungen diese als Möglichkeit per se vorsehen..."

(~bidding consortium?)

The probable curve for this project become A/B/C

From the context, prediction of future contracts is illustrated by means of curves.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Darin Fitzpatrick : See discussion. "Curve" is incorrect, and this use of "become" is also incorrect.
