SPAIN. Supposedly a type of solvent. Client says "Vencidita" exists and is spelt correctly. However, I take it with a pinch of salt and can't find it anywhere except in the document they have "lifted" the list from:
"Disolventes
Benceno.
Vencidita.
Biscloroetinilnitrosourea.
Cloruro de vinilo.
Dibromuro de etileno.
... etc."

You could always offer to drink it if he buys it :-)

More seriously, what class of chemicals does he think "-ita" represents? That's a suffix normally reserved for minerals.

Note from asker:
Already suggested this to client, who still insists that "Vendicita" exists. I bet it turns out to be benzidine in the end... |
Sod it. It must be a typo (vencidina gets 200+ hits, and the B vs V confusion is typical) so I'm going for this anyway. Cheers. |
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "I used this anyway, included a note saying if they want to change it to something else, I'd translate it if they sent me the chemical formula for it. I don't think they'll get back to me somehow, Thanks everyone for helping out (and Charles for the chuckle)."
