"TIM" on Argentina Driver Licence

Spanish to English Other Transport / Transportation / Shipping Driver Licence

TIM followed by a number. Thought it might be abbreviation for timbre, but client says probably not, thinks it's a reference to an internal number at the local transit office. Anyone know for sure?

Charles Davis Nov 23, 2011: I've looked through the driving licence section of the Córdoba municipal website (http://www.cordoba.gov.ar/cordobaciudad/principal2/default.a... ), but no luck. A guess: "Trámite Interno Municipal"? I have found this expression in a few places, though not specifically in relation to driving licences.

translatorchris (asker) Nov 23, 2011: I thought Tarjeta de Identidad Militar was likely - seems logical - but client says "nope". The licence is from Ciudad Cordoba, Cordoba, issued in 2007
Christine Walsh Nov 23, 2011: I've just checked mine, and it doesn't say TIM anywhere. There is a 'Nº de control interno' but it's all numbers, no letters. I have an older one that says 'Provincia de Buenos Aires', but the current one just says 'Licencia Nacional de Conducir'.
Lindsay Spratt Nov 23, 2011: Tarjeta de Identidad Militar can be abbreviated to TIM, but not sure how this would make it onto a driving licence... Any more context available?
cranesfreak Nov 23, 2011: @Asker Which is the Argentinian Province that issued that license? The name of the province appear on the license. I have a License of "Ciudad de Buenos Aires", and it has not "TIM" number. TIA Rgds:)
