French term

finesse

French to English Bus/Financial Marketing Company brochure
**La finesse** des dispositifs de reporting et d’analyse autorise THERMOCOMPACT a assurer un management sensible et réactif au service de la meilleure exploitation.

Any ideas in this context? I was thinking around the lines of "in-depth"?
TIA

sophistication

Hello,

I think we are talking "sophistication" here (not "accuracy", albeit implied)

finesse (in this context) = highly developed/complex in the context of advanced technology (dispositifs)

I hope this helps.

meticulous

I think an adjective would work best in English.

Another possibility is detailed or, as suggested, in-depth. However, I think meticulous gives more of an idea of finesse

precision

another suggestion... These 'dispositifs' are obviously, as has already been said, 'finely-tuned' and so, must be very precise and detailed...
Peer comment(s):

agree Julie Barber : I too think that it's more about accuracy than the documents being in-depth as such, it's more accurate, tailored or even streamlined...

Thanks juliebarba, yes, tailored I like - and indeed (like the expression 'analyse fine'), 'accuracy' and 'perfectly adapted' would no doubt be operative words

neutral danièle davout : en gros, si le choix des mesures est mal fait, peu importe la précision des résultats

effectivement, Danièle, mais je laisserais la responsabilité de ça aux concepteurs des 'dispositifs' - eux croient que leur finesse permet 'un management sensible et réactif' - du moins c'est ce que j'y vois. Merci de votre commentaire!

sensitiveness

This word conveys all the nuances present in the answers already provided.

Example sentence:

Financial sensitiveness analysis indicates that when the expense increases by 10% and benefit reduces by 10%, the IRR is 4.54%, higher than the financial

Peer comment(s):

agree danièle davout : Sensitivity analyses are used to assess how robust the results are to uncertain decisions or assumptions about the data and the methods that were used. http://www.jr2.ox.ac.uk/bandolier/booth/glossary/sensanal.ht...
