I just found that Kim Metzger had entered the term vocational school *diploma* in an earlier question for Berufschulabschluss (only one s). So if that fits the bill...

: Egad, I'm amazed at the "disagree": for U.S. English, this is by far the clearest solution! (Diploma is fine, too.) Typically vocational school degrees are AS degrees (associate of science) or AA degrees (associate of arts), depending on the field.
