I am a man combining pedagogical and technical skills, having a wide experience with computers since 1977. I have studied computer science, journalism, and 8 foreign languages in USA, Sweden, France and Russia, at various intervals from 1980 till now.
My professional background includes translator (using the Trados translation system), PC technician and computer science teacher (PC, Mac, networks, WordPerfect, Pagemaker, HTML).
Since 1989 I’m a freelance journalist.
I am used to writing, mainly in my native Swedish. Good at explaining or presenting complicated things in a simple and structured way, in normal language.
I presently work part time for Scoop Publishware as technical writer, copywriter, web editor and test manager.
Started translating computer literature in 1988. Worked for Berlitz Translation Services in Dublin in 1997. Since 1998 I work free-lance with Trados, mainly taking orders from translation agencies in Gothenburg and Copenhagen. I combine translating with other jobs. During one of the more intensive periods recently, I translated 100,000 words technical German in a month.
