French term

bruit en charge (de l'ile)

French to English Tech/Engineering Physics quantum mechanics
quantum mechanics - coherence time measured in superoposition states - qubits - a real quagmire... coherence time was limited in the experiment due to "bruit résiduel: bruit en charge de l'ile, et le bruit en flux (??) a travers le circuit"

island charge noise

See referencences for a link to a single paper (QUBITS AS SPECTROMETERS OF QUANTUM NOISE)that uses "island charge noise" in the context of Qubits. "Island charge" seems to be more widely used in the context of Qubits.

Very unlikely to be "hot-electron noise."

A hyphen between island and charge might be advisable.
