The Performance Enablement Index concerns the organization -
the extent to which an organization is committed to high level of customer service and product quality and relies on continuous improvement practices to achieve superior organisational results -
whereas the Employee Engagement Index concerns employees - the extent to which the EMPLOYEES are motivated to contribute to organizational success and are willing to apply discretionary effort to accomplishing tasks important to the achievement of organizational goals.

The PEI is measured by, among others, polling the employees; nevertheless, the PEI concerns the organization and especially how it HELPS employees provide better products and servcies.

KPI of the Allianz Engagement Survey is the Performance Enablement Index. The PEI is a combination of survey questions focusing on customer service & quality, involvement, training, and teamwork. These are the questions most predictive of customer satisfaction and business performance (e.g., sales growth, market share, productivity, and profitability).
Unlike Engagement, Performance Enablement questions tend to be directly actionable (e.g., service/quality standards) and, thus, no priority analysis is conducted on this index.
