External 24 VDC Supply
The internal supply can not be used in the following cases:
When more power is needed than can be supplied by the internal supply.
When the emergency stop circuits are to be independent of whether or not the robot is powered.
When there is a risk that major interferences can be carried over into the internal 24 V supply.
An external supply is recommended to make use of the advantages offered by the galvanic insulation on the I/O units.
The neutral wire in the external supply must be connected in such a way to prevent the maximum permitted potential difference in the chassis earth from being exceeded.
