{family tree}
volgens deze site is het een soort stamboom, maar het precieze woord in het Engels weet ik niet - of het nou gewoon 'family tree' is of niet, weet ik niet zeker. Zie referentie
Succes!

volgens mij is het gewoon \'family tree\' dus een synoniem van \'stamboom\':

volgens Van Dale is dit de definitie: groep van bloedverwanten als afstammelingen van één bepaalde ouder of van een bepaald paar ouders

Just to clarify Alexander, when I said Van Dale, I meant the N-N version, not N>E. And yes, it can be used as an adjective, but also as a noun and my answer involves it used as a noun

Saskia, het is ook mogelijk dat de vertaling gewoon \'descendants\' is; zie deze: http://members.lycos.nl/bnnch/afbakening1.html

parental
"parenteel" is an adjective IMO, so it should not be translated as a noun.
Actually the word is not listed in the VanDale, which means it is probably a transliteration from the English.

: jein-it is a borrow word but from the French parentèle. was my hunch and when I looked it up in the Van Dale (non-electronic..), it listed it as Fr. in origin.so for once, it's not English borrow word! ;-)

relations, extended family
sounds like it's a word 'borrowed' from the French parentèle. In fact that is confirmed in the Van Dale (Dutch-Dutch). And the definition given is also the same as the French.
can also mean relationship/kinship (Larousse). depends on context

relationship/kinship when used in terms of \'degree of\'.
