Hi all, I understand the concept but I can't find a clear French translation.
We're in the context of equipement rental and it's the ratio between the annual cost of rental vs acquisition of an equipment.
Any help welcome.

: if you take a look at the explanatory footnote (4), you'll see it's a completely different kind of index.

: yes and no - in this text it's not about the overall revenue compared to the total "invested capital", it's a comparison made for individual "investment in buying equipment for hire".

Discussion
So this "dollar utilisation" is a kind of "return on investment" - invest 100k€ in buying generators and then "get back" 84k€ in annual rental income = 84% dollar utilization.
"rentabilité financière" sounds right. As long as it's clear from the context that it's specifically about money "invested in buying equipment to be hired out".
Any more details? Few full sentences where the term was used?
Or it is a ratio calculated from the viewpoint of the rental company? As in: ratio of "how much was earned from renting the equipment" compared to the "cost of acquisition" like yearly rental income 90.000 vs cost of buying that equipment 200.000?
For whose benefit this ratio is being calculated?
"an average dollar utilization of around 85%"
