STAINING & GLAZE FIRING o ardere de tip fuziune prin care straturile fuzionează.
Astfel cum este descrisă aici:

Once the potter has biscuit fired (sintered) the greenware, the piece is not fragile and can more easily be handled for further processing.
It is not yet fully fired. Most the feldspar remains in crystalline form. The potter appliesa watery mixture of feldspar or highly fluxed silica
particles over the surface of the ceramic body. This is called a
glazecoat. Once the glaze coat dries to a powder, the ceramic piece is
put back into the kiln and fired to a higher temperature. Both
the glaze coat and the feldspar particles melt into glass. The second firing is called glaze firing but could also be termed "fusion firing”. Fusion happens even in the absence of glaze coating.

Multumesc Manuela!In cazul asta banuiesc ca staining firing este arderea după procesul de colorare a lucrarii de restaurare?

arderea (stratului de finisare) glaze firing = procesul de ardere a stratului de finisare
firing=arderea (ceramicii) în diferite etape
