Singular & plural - neosynovium/neosynovia When I originally researched this term I did not see any references for 'neosynovia', which is why I posted the singular. The usual practice is not to post a new answer with such a minimal change, but to post a comment to the original answer. Otherwise it looks like "point chasing".

Neo makes more sense... I thought about it, but wasn't sure. Nothing came up in google search, as you already stated.

Typo for 'neosynovia' ? Google provides no hits for 'naevosynovia' (or nevosynovia) except for this ProZ question. I found one report of nevi associated with the synovial membrane:
"A case of metaplastic synovial cyst after partial excision of nevus sebaceus in a 7-year-old girl is herein reported."

However, I wonder if this is a typo for 'neosynovia', though it's a bit of a stretch from 'neo..' to nevo'.

If the original is plural, I think you might wish to keep it that way.
