Prewelded steel 2-1/2′ x 2-1/2′ x 1/4” ANGLE IRON frame, The ballast mount is intended for use on flat commercial roofs where penetrating the membrane and bolting down to the steel joists below is not preferred. Instead eight 24” x 24” x 1- 1/2” square patio stones are placed on 1 1/2” thick styrofoam pads inside the outside perimeter of the frame, The 10 ft. tall frame is then assembled on these eight patio stones and then loaded down with 1,764 lbs of ballast in the form of another 28 patio stones, fullfilling the engineered requirements.

Shipped in knocked down form. Due to the high cost of shipping, 36-24”x24”x1-1/2” patio stones at 63 lbs each not included, patio
stones to be sourced locally by purchaser. Total rooftop load, turbine included, 3,000 lbs. These loads will always need to be placed at or near a bearing wall."
