German term

Technikercercle/Jägerball/Kaffeesiedeerball.

German to English Art/Literary
Sentence:
Ein Grossteil steht im sogenannten Ballkalender, darunter alle offiziellen grossen, wie das Technikercercle, der Jägerball, der Philharmonikerball oder der Kaffeesiedeerball.

These are all organizations, but I don't know what they refer to: Circle of Technicians (Engineers?)/ Hunter's, Huntsman, or Hunting Club Ball? And what is a Kaffeesiedeer?

coffee maker (human, not machine)

To my understanding these are balls/dances organized by different business associations/clubs/institutions. As for the Kaffeesiederball, this is a fancy event organized by the Viennese Coffee house owners in the Hofburg.

don't

I wouldn't translate them. I have had enough Vienna balls to last me a lifetime, and I'd say if you have to bore the reader with them, the put the explanations in brackets. The Techniker are engineers, the Jägerball is obviously a hunt ball, and the Kaffeesieder are indeed coffee house owners. Actually these are rather obscure events. Don't they mention the Zuckerbäcker?
