neutral  Charlesp: Thinking about it, I am not so sure (due to the året in the phrase --- (good to put in the reference to hotel for the Answer; may not be necessary in the text (depending upon context)).

annual occupancy rate

Explanation:
This actually needs some more context, but your term reads like something of this kind. Real estate, office building, hotels, or ... ??

Didn't see Sven's answer, somehow, apparently technical.
These are close, but not exactly the same. See what you find!

-> Thanks, Charles! A second look makes the Swedish sound even dumber, er, the internal contradiction is more apparent. Like I said, context!

ADR

Explanation:
Consider "Average Daily Rate" (often referred to as ADR).

That may work, depending upon your context.

"annual average occupancy rate over the year" refers to the "ADR" (because of the "over the year" in the text).

It seems to me, that if it had said "åren" (over the years), then "annual average occupancy rate" would be the correct translation.

P.S. And I agree with my two esteemed colleagues, whose assistance over the years have been invaluable; the Swedish here isn't as clear as it could be.

agree  Deane Goltermann: If you want something to increase during the year ... Yes, unless we are talking about my weight!! ;-)

-> everybody wants everything to increase over the year - isn't that only natural? ACTUALLY, I guess not. Consider acid rain and global warming.
