Spanish term or phrase: llevar la pelota
I need to know the correct term for US English for this phrase. It's for a basketball game.
This is the phrase:

"Si no **llevas la pelota***, podrás golpear a tus adversarios moviendo arriba y abajo el XXX Remote. Si **llevas la pelota***, podrás pasarla a tus compañeros moviendo arriba y abajo el XXX Remote.

I would translate this as having the ball and "si no llevas la pelota" as "if you don't have the ball." This more general term for possession of the basketball is preferable, in my opinion, because "llevar" can probably include dribbling the basketball, which is definitely not carry.
