please disregard ... Explanation: What if you say something along the lines of: "If you are not interested in our information/website/product/..., please disregard this message/email." Apologizing in these situations is far more common in Japan and other Asian countries (see the article "I Am Sorry to Send You SPAM": Cross-Cultural Differences in Use of Apologies in Email Advertising in Korea and the U.S.) than it is in the US. However, I would probably not leave the whole sentence out, it is part of the original text - the above suggestion gives you an introduction that is polite but not apologetic. |
