agree  Shera Lyn Parpia: Many kinds of collar, and each one probably has a different name in Italian.

agree  kringle: trouble with tie collar is that it is used for women's blouses (think seventies) where the collar was tied into a bow. Definitely not what we are looking for here! I'd go with "collar"
