German term or phrase: Gesamtleiter
"Herr X, Gesamtleiter Vertrieb von ABC, nennt die Unternehmen schmunzelnd die „drei tollen Schwestern“."

From an article about a technical company (which makes slitters and winders) that has been integrated into a larger group. To my very great surprise, no dictionary (except dodgy ones like Linguee) seems to have heard of "Gesamtleiter". It's obviously a manager of some kind, but what precisely would we call this in English? Chief Manager, perhaps? Executive Manager? Otherwise, what? TIA for your help.

I ended up going with General Marketing Manager. But Textklick's suggestion was good too. So thanks very much everyone - appreciate your assistance.

Divisional Sales Manager

Explanation:
Given the functional suffix (Gesamtleiter Vertrieb) , I would use this.

All of the 'Gesamtleiter' I ever worked for were effectively managers of a division. Of course, you could also say: Manager, Sales Division.

General Manager is a little vague, I fear.
