Another take on it. I looked them up in Collins to double check the translations.

I like how one seems to show a personal trait, how he is on his own (committed), while the other shows that he is also able to engage himself socially as a participant/employee among others in a group situation (personal involvement). And that this involvement is not superficial, but that it is earnest and taken seriously by him (personal). Or that he works well not just alone, but also with others.

Just my thoughts. Welcome to "the breakdown of words and what they mean to me 101". :) Anyhow, hope this helps!
