Full text: どうも6日の後場からの日経平均の急騰をみると、事前に「ECBは緩和な し」の見方にすでに傾いたと思われる。
My issue: 後場. How do we translate this? Is it days or afternoon sessions?
My understanding: Apparently, the surge in the Nikkei 225 from the last six-afternoon sessions/days suggests that the market was already leaning toward the view that the ECB would not ease.

Afternoon session
I understand it to mean the afternoon session on the 6th (of whatever month it's referring to). It could be worded as, for example, "starting on the afternoon of the 6th" or "beginning with afternoon trading on the 6th."
