Colloquial Narrative
Greetings,
Here's some Colloquial Persian:
فرض كن تا مشهد كوبيدي و رفتي. آخرش كه چي؟ فوقش چندساعت زودتر ميرسي. ولي در عوض، كلي منظره زيباي بين راه را از دست ميدي و نميتوني ازشون لذت ببري
It's the second sentence which I'm finding difficult:
ولي در عوض، كلي منظره زيباي بين راه را از دست ميدي و نميتوني ازشون لذت ببري
All the best, and many thanks,
Simon

This fits better with the way the Persian is worded

I can't speak for Simon on why he chose this translation, but I can comment as a native speaker of English that "all the..." is better for "koli" here than "lots of". If we use "lots", it means that there may be something that we miss.
We can use either one and be correct. The difference is in the emphasis, and I felt that "all the..." was closer to "koli". I am guessing that Simon agreed.

Note from asker:
Dear Samadani, First of all, your answer is definitely very good and I want to thank you for that. However, in addition to what Ed said correctly about "all the", which I agree with, "scenery" is definitely better than "scenes", which could be almost anything you see at a particular time - it could even be people talking by the wayside. Best wishes and thank you again, Simon |

: Yes, I certainly prefer 'lots' for کلی and scenes for مناظر.
