You are being asked to participate in a study of the investigational drug, XXXX. An investigational drug is one that is not approved by the local health authority.
The purpose of this study is to understand how well you respond to XXXX, a biologic disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD), or another biologic DMARD called etanercept, after it has been determined that you did not respond to the biologic DMARD called adalimumab, during the first 4 months of this study.
XXXX, etanercept and adalimumab are all biologic DMARDs; however, each drug is different in how they treat rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This study is intended to show that patients with RA can respond differently to these drugs and provide information to help doctors select which biologic DMARD is best to treat RA patients when they are not doing well with the medication they are currently using. Both adalimumab (zzz®) and etanercept (YYY®) are approved products, and currently marketed in a number of countries, including Europe, Japan, and the United States for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
XXXX is a type of drug called an anti-interleukin 6 receptor monoclonal antibody (a type of protein). XXXX blocks the activity of interleukin 6 (IL-6) in your body. IL-6 is known to be an important protein that is elevated in patients with RA and is felt to contribute to RA symptoms and joint damage. XXXX is an investigational drug that has not been approved for marketing by the health authorities.

1. Connect the System Controller board to an ASCII terminal.
2. Switch on the power to the ASCII terminal.
3. Set up the terminal. Set the ASCII terminal to the same baud rate as the serial port.
Default serial port settings for the System Controller board:
• 9600 8N1 : 9600 baud
• 8 data bits
• No parity
• 1 stop bit
This is a console connection, therefore log messages are output via the serial connection.
Cabling the System Controller Board
The System Controller board has two ports: the serial (RS-232) port and the Ethernet (network) port. A terminal may be connected to the system controller using either of these ports.
Powering On the Hardware
Follow the steps for hardware power-on detailed and illustrated in the installation guide for your system:
• For the Serv-Tech Apex 5600/9820/9840 systems, proceed as follows:
o Switch on the terminal console.
o Switch on the redundant transfer switches (RTS).
o Switch on the AC input boxes.
o Move the key switch for the Frame Manager to the “on” position.
o For the Serv-Tech Apex 4580 system, proceed as follows:
o Switch on the terminal console.
o Switch on the power supply switches.
How To Access a Domain Shell via the Serial Port
You can connect to one of three types of devices via the serial port:
• ASCII terminal (terminal setting for the serial is 9600 8N1)
• Network terminal server (NTS)
• Workstation
The procedure differs for each type of device:
1. If you are connected to:
• The serial port of an ASCII terminal - the system controller main menu will be displayed once the serial port connection has been made.
• The serial port of a network terminal server (NTS) - a menu of various servers to which you can connect will be displayed. Select the appropriate server. Once you have connected to the appropriate server, the system controller main menu will be displayed.
