To Whom It May Concern:
I am submitting my resume as a free-lance translator and interpreter. Currently, I am a student at Cambridge College, in the Medical Interpreter Program and will be certified in May of 2005. For the past two years, I have provided interpretation services and translated legal documents from Arabic and French into English as a free-lance translator and interpreter. I have two Master Degrees in Linguistics and Political Science, equivalent to Master of Art Degrees in the U.S. educational system and am fluent in Arabic and French. For two years, I worked as a professor in a Teacher Training College in Libya, where I taught introductory and advanced linguistics to undergraduate students preparing to teach high school.
From this experience, I developed my ability and skills of organization, working independently, time management, responsibility, flexibility and working with different people. I was able to further develop these skills through volunteer political positions as a community youth leader, and as a campaign communication manager in Mauritania. In the United States, I have become proficient in English and participated in an internship in the Admissions Department at Harvard University |
