I was born in Mexico City, educated bi-lingually at school. I spent my tween years translating pop songs to my friends, always with at pink dictionary in hand. My upbringing in Mexico celebrated the beauty of our diverse culture, with so many indigenous communities that enriched my life and perception of the world. Since then, I've been curious and amazed by multi-cultural intersections and pride myself of serving as a bridge. I studied media and worked in radio and advertising. I have experience in copywriting, voice over and audio production. I've lived in the Bay Area since 2001, and I have professional translation experience in education, working with the Oakland Unified School District, and various education advocacy groups and non-profits. My skills also include video production and graphic design, which allows me to incorporate and deliver translated messages into different media. |
