Source text - English Adventure Cruising
A premium cruise without the premium crowds.
Adventure Cruising combines the real-life experiences of our tried and tested small-group trips with the added comfort of a well-appointed leisure cruise. But instead of shuffleboard and onboard casinos, we’re all about taking you to the smaller ports (the one’s the bigger ships just can’t get to) and really taking you into the heart of the destination. It might be skipping along the unexplored western fjords of Iceland, stopping in at Cycladic ports for grilled octopus and fresh olives, or dropping anchor for a swim at a secluded archipelago off Thailand’s west coast. Small, intimate, comfortable and local-led – this is cruising at its finest.
Explore our world
Croatia
Cruise along the stunning Dalmatian Coast and be charmed by old-world Croatia. Explore the rich histories of Dubrovnik and Split, swim in perfect turquoise waters off the island of Badija, taste local honey and stroll lavender fields in Hvar, and venture to Mostar in the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
View trip
Cuba
This old soul of an island has many rewards in store for the curious traveller. Give the salsa a go in Havana, see how those famous Cuban cigars are made in the picturesque tobacco fields of Vinales Valley, and drop anchor in the impossibly beautiful town of Cienfuegos.
Southern Vietnam
No voyage in Southern Vietnam would be complete without the enchantment of old-world Hoi An and the blue-sea beauty of Nha Trang. But it’s the glorious sand dunes of Mui Ne, snorkelling opportunities around the likes of Ly Son island, and Southeast Asia’s oldest pottery village, Bau Truc, that set this adventure apart.
Seychelles
Sitting off the east coast of Africa in the middle of the Indian Ocean, this group of islands is the poster image for paradise. Cruise to islands both inhabited and uninhabited, walk through mangrove forests that house giant tortoises, explore World Heritage nature reserves and relax on some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Why choose Peregrine
Smaller ships, more ports
When it comes to cruising, bigger is not necessarily better. While mega liners are restricted in their routes, a smaller ship means we can dock in out-of-the-way ports and drop anchor wherever we feel like it. Instead of mooring out to sea, we pull up right in the centre of town and get you amongst the sights faster and easier.

English to Italian: Frank Lloyd Wright General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Architecture
Source text - English There are few experiences in architecture more rewarding than visiting a building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
What exactly makes them so good? The details in every building are different, but over the seven decades that Wright practiced, he developed a repertory of devices – tricks of the trade, if you will – that you begin to recognise and appreciate. They form the core of the continued importance and relevance of his work today, 150 years after his birth.
First and foremost, there is the way the buildings sit in their sites. I did not say "on", but "in", because his best designs nestle into the land with a rightness that makes them appear as the human-made elaboration of that place.
This is especially true in his rural buildings, such as Taliesin in Spring Green and Taliesin West in Scottsdale, where the horizontal lines are the contours lines of the land made visible and reiterated to emphasise human occupation, while the spreading roofs not only denote shelter, but are also geometric versions both of the immediate site and of the hills or mountains that rise around them.
When the landscape is flat, as in Oak Park or around some of the later Usonian houses, the architecture offers itself as an intensification and decomposition of the suburbs around them, clarifying the landscape humans made.
In urban settings, Wright tended to either isolate his structures as mute monuments representing another world sheltered inside, as in Unity Temple or the Johnson Wax Headquarters, or expand out of the site in the manner of the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
Entry into Wright's buildings is almost inevitably a journey that turns into a quest

Source text - English SAN BERNARDO CATHEDRAL, TERAMO
The cathedral situated between Piazza Martiri della Libertà and Piazza Orsini, has undergone various phases of construction, and currently comprises two main structures: the older eastern section, known as the “Guidi nave”, built in 1158-74, commissioned by Bishop Guido II, has a nave and two aisles with alternating columns and pillars. On a higher level beyond the transept is the western section, or “Arcioni nave”, which dates back to the extension requested by Bishop Niccolò of the Arcioni from 1332-35, and is subdivided into six spans with ogival arches. The centre of the three-part transept has an octagonal segmented dome, of mid-northern influence and uncertain date. Approximately in the centre of the nave, there is a cross-section where the Baroque chapel of San Bernardo was built from 1731-1776, during the Baroque restorations that completely reinterpreted the interior with original features, which were subsequently erased during the 1932-35 restorations. The exterior has a series of significant features such as the main portal dated 1332 by the Roman sculptor Deodato di Cosma, with a round archivolt enhanced by a golden mosaic decoration, a high cusp tympanum decorated with statues and a large rose window. The two columns, at each end, support two statues by Nicola da Guardiagrele. The double-lancet and oval windows lighten the square belfry, begun in the 12th century and finished in 1493 by Antonio da Lodi, who built the soaring octagonal structure covered by majolica and culminating in a pyramidal cusp.
The cathedral has many masterpieces, for example, Nicola da Guardiagrele’s silver paliotto, made between 1433 and 1448, and found today on the high altar, the beautiful marble aedicule by Antonio da Lodi, the precious Segrestia Nuova wooden altar (1594-1632), with 17th century paintings by the Pole, Sebastiano Majewski. The 14th century polyptych by Venetian Jacobell del Fiore decorates the Baroque altar in the San Bernardo chapel. In the apse we find a large round stained glass window, by Duilio Cambellotti.
Translation - Italian CATTEDRALE DI SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA, TERAMO
