Bio
I graduated with distinction from SOAS with an MA in Translation in 2019, where I was trained in English <-> Japanese translation covering a wide variety of subjects, including technical and literary translation. My dissertation involved a partial translation and commentary on Tomohiko Suzuki's expose on the connection between organized crime and the nuclear power industry after 2011, Yakuza to Genpatsu:Fukushima Daiichi Sennyuuki.
Prior to this, I worked at a US patent law firm translating technical specifications for patent applications from Japanese to English (mostly relating to semiconductor technologies). I have been studying Japanese for over 12 years now, having lived/studied in Japan for 2.5 years.
