My love for languages became apparent at a young age, in kindergarten, where I excelled at German. I continued learning the language in elementary school, where I also acquainted myself with English and the basics of Spanish. I continued learning English as a second language in high school, where I acquired my C2 Proficiency (formerly known as Cambridge English: Proficiency), proving that I have the level of English that’s needed to study or work in a very senior professional or academic environment. It proves I can communicate with the fluency and sophistication of a highly competent English speaker.
Later, I passed my matura exam in English with the highest possible grade (8), and Slovene with a 7, while I also got the highest grade for the B2 level in Spanish. I started my translation career in the Mariborski vodovod company, translating texts associated with the water distribution system in Maribor, Slovenia. I am currently an intern at IRGO Consulting, Ljubljana, involved in the translation of technical texts associated with the construction of the second track of the Divača - Koper railway, translating from Slovene into English. Outside of translation, I also teach English as a second language to primary and high school students.
My interests include reading, writing and learning new languages. My goal in 2020 is to master the basics of French (B1 level).
