Born and raised in the Netherlands, Dutch is my native language. After law school at the University of Groningen, I moved to the US and have been a permanent resident here for the last 25 years.  My job experience includes: Assistant to the CEO, Regulatory Administrator and Legal Liaison in the Food industry; Quality Control Associate and Corrective and Preventive Action Administrator in the Medical Device field; President of 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization.  In these roles I have translated legal documents, medical device manuals and website content from English to Dutch. More recently I have translated web content for Picturae, a Dutch digitizing firm, from Dutch to English. I particularly enjoy the transcreation part of the translating process to provide my clients with culturally and linguistically accurate translations.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, playing tennis, scuba diving, reading and following national and international news sources.
