Translation education
Bachelor's degree - Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting - Ionian University
Experience
Years of experience: 8. Registered at ProZ.com: Sep 2018.
I
am a graduate of the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and
Interpreting, Ionian University, and I also have a Master's in
Conference Interpreting from the Scientific College of Greece, under the
auspices of the University of Strasbourg.
I have been working as a
freelance translator since 2015, and since November 2022, I have been
working as an in-house translator at ACM Translations in Athens. My
fields of expertise are mostly Law and Education, but also Finance and
iCasino. In my current role, I am engaging in translating, reviewing and MTPE.
I
love literature and flamenco and my dream is to be a
translator of children's books. I especially love the work of Benjamin
Lacombe, Rebecca Dautremer, Éric Puybaret, Shaun Tan and Terry
Pratchett, the works of whom I believe are not only for children, as all children's
literature - but let's not open now this great chapter of Literary theory.
My Bachelor's thesis was the translation in Greek of the
'L'herbier des fées' by Benjamin Lacombe and my Master's thesis was on
'Interpreting Sign Language'.
