I'm an ex-global corporate worker. And now I'm a top-rated freelancer on Upwork and other platforms. Most of the times, I work as a writer and a linguist for English to Indonesian (bahasa Indonesia) and vice versa -- beside taking a non-linguistic role as a business consultant. My services range from translation, copywriting, proofreading, transcription, editing, to cultural consultation.
In order to display my recent experiences, I will just mention the current roles I take as a freelancer. I work regularly as a Language Lead for a client that is the largest microprocessor manufacturer in the world (which based in the US), supervising several Indonesian linguists. I'm also the only Indonesian translator of the largest PC/laptop manufacturer in the world (which based in China).
Apart from those roles, I take projects that I'm personally interested in and feeling confident of doing it. I've worked for clients coming with various industry backgrounds, from IT companies and startups, a hospital group based in Singapore, to non-profit organizations.
As for my education and professional background, I am an MBA graduate and hold another Master's in Tourism Studies. I was educated in Indonesia and Japan. I used to work for an American IT corporation (that "Big Blue" listed on Fortune 500) and a Japanese company, lived in Australia & Japan, authored 4 books under the biggest publisher group in the country, and wrote articles for major media in the region either in English and Indonesian.
Those backgrounds may reflect my skills, professionalism, attitude, and language proficiency. I speak Bahasa Indonesia as my native language, fluent English, and conversational in Japanese.
As a closing summary, I would be an ideal choice if you're looking for a linguist with real global corporate experiences. A linguist who cares about context and does writing - not merely translating. Or, a writer with in-depth knowledge and experiences in these fields: IT, technology, automotive, travel/hospitality/traveling, PR, business/management, theology, and medical science.
