Bio
I'm Leslie, a translator from Spanish and Portuguese into English, as well as English into Portuguese. I'm from the US and hold a degree in Spanish Studies and Global Studies from the University of Minnesota. I've lived in Ecuador, Spain, Brazil and Portugal, where I currently reside.
I've worked as an English teacher and translator in various settings over the past three years, having received a Fulbright grant in 2014 to work in the English department at the Federal University of Piauí, Brazil. I have extensive experience translating and proofreading academic articles, websites, literary texts and blogs. I've worked with Brazilian filmmakers on projects that have appeared in prestigious international festivals such as Queer Lisboa.
