We are increasingly concerned about actions the military has taken, just a few days after it staged a coup. It has dissolved the Senate, detained a number of people, called in some academics and journalists, and continued to restrict the press. We again call on the military to release those detained for political reasons, end restrictions on the media, and move to restore civilian rule and democracy through elections. | Translation - Thai

Over a period of 30 years, the Houses of Lancaster (with a red rose as its symbol) and York (with a white rose) had claimed the throne of England. But in the Battle of Bosworth Field, the dispute ended abruptly.
In the heat of the battle, Richard III’s horse sank into the marsh and died, and the next moment, the king himself was killed by the man, who later became King Henry VII, and who was a member of the house of Lancaster. As blood coloured the battlefield red, the body of Richard III was placed on a horse and carried to Leicester.
