Danish to English: Translation should be appreciated......
Translation - English I often think that the working field of translation is not recognized enough and appreciated as it should be. It is overlooked as something that "someone" just do and nobody notice that it is an essential field to understand each other and each others messages. That happens in the world of movies, books as well as different sorts of documents. That is why many people who work with translation is not getting paid a decent payment and that is sad, because without translation workers, creators of messages in 1 language will not get the outcome as they want into another language area.

Experience
Years of experience: 12. Registered at ProZ.com: Oct 2014.
We have been given words to express ourselves and they form our language. The words are like the texts and the language is the music. There are about 6500 languages in the world, 5.6 million people speak Danish and more than 1 billion people can speak English. English has become such an important language and although Danish will never come near that, it is important that those 2 languages - as well as cultures - can connect.
THAT is where I wish to help you!! You do not have to worry about it - I am dedicated to do this because I still love my native language as well as English (which I have been learning for more than 25 years!).
I believe we can find out a good agreement on rates and working conditions and if we are both happy about it, we can do longtime agreements as well.
I have been doing translation work for more than 8 years now in English/Danish and Danish/English with all kinds of documents. I have been involved in legal documents, letters/articles, insurance/bank material, technical manuals etc.
I do not favor technical terms much but I favor: tourism, travel, education, entertainment, media, marketing, geography, letters, articles, internet, music, religion, philosophy etc.
Beyond the subject of translation I also recently got "very hooked" on doing subtitling in English/Danish and offer that as my service too. Last month, January, I finished a project where I did 8 programs by using MonaI LE2008 for a French documentary program.
