i m learning the theoretical orientation of translations in my m.phil course along with practising translation. basically i m interested in translating creative work like fiction, plays and poems.i m from a remote corner of india but has to share a lot to the world in large. besides,the literature in my mother tongue is quite rich. we have many writers who are already being translated. i m taking up translations of some recent works. people in my place are very interested in world liteature. thats why a lot of works are also being translated from various world languages to my mother tongue.

i m also engaged in actual writing. some of my poems are published in www.poetry.com and other articles are also published in websites and magazines. i believe that translation is also a highly creative activity. in translating something the translator transforms not only the language but an entire culture to a different one. a creative mind is needed for this and i have one.i also sing ang very interested in translating lyrics. i make my friend listen ti song in my mother tongue and then translate them into english. they become happy. me too.i m an avid theatre goer. do a bit of theatre criticism too.
