Japanese term

一斉切り替え

Japanese to English Marketing Marketing Hair care product
Appears to mean they pulled one product and replaced it with another one. But what's the standard wording for this in English? (It stands alone, so it needs to be concise.)

Discussion

Shannon Morales (asker) Dec 12, 2008:
Thanks for the suggestions... I later came across 自然切替 in the same text, so to contrast them I ended up using "Recall and replacement" and "Phase-out and replacement." I'm sure there *must* be standard terms for these though, so I will leave this open a bit longer in case anyone has other ideas... Thank you!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks, Ganesh-san. I still still think there must be a term out there that distinguishes between 一斉切替 and 自然切替, but it's eluding me. Your reference was helpful, and "substitution" does sound better than change, conversion, etc. here, so I'll give you the points."
