Salve a tutti,
purtroppo non ho un testo né una frase, ma spero che le definizioni di seguito siano sufficienti.
Mi serve la traduzione di "battuta della cornice", dove per "cornice" si intende una cornice per appendere dipinti/manifesti, ecc.

Ho trovato la definizione su Wikipedia:
"La parte della cornice sul retro capace di ricevere il telaio del dipinto si chiama Battuta, proprio perché il suo spessore va a battere contro lo spessore del dipinto."

Altra definizione trovata in glossario d'arte:
Battuta: la parte posteriore interna della cornice, rientrata rispetto al telaio per contenere la tela o lo specchio.

Oh, I believe it is also known as a "rebate", though I must admit I have always used rabbet.
