neutral  Lancashireman: It would be a pity to lose the metaphor when it transfers quite comfortably across from one language to the other. 'Optimising potential' is not what it says here and 'minimising overlap' is pure speculation.

agree  Francis Lee (X): "smooth cooperation" might well suffice here (I dunno why you and Craig stress the metaphor bit, though) / In this case (Verzahnung) I shall not be crushed by the relentless metaphorical wheels of industry
