Nothing I can think of sounds right to me. Here's the context:

Die Turbinenschaufeln .... weisen einen Schaufelfuß auf. Die Schaufelplattform ist mindestens zweifach **umgelenkt**, so dass diese auch bei einem gekühlten und darüber hinaus stark **umgelenkten** Schaufelblatt sowie den Schaufelblattquerschnitt als auch den Schaufelfuß abdeckt.

umlenkschaufel are also called diffusor vanes. The combusted air in this case seems to be undergoing diffusion just after combustion and just before entering the power turbine
