i'm being carried! Naklediliyorsun! Explanation: My solution is to use another Turkish equivalent of the verb "carry", the verb "nakletmek". The first one "tasiyorum" can stay the same, or you can change that as well. |

i'm being carried! taşınıyorsun Explanation: If the whole of the play is to be translated, "taşınıyorsun" will do. The audience/reader should understand the dilemma you mentioned. But if only this particular dialog is to be translated... then you should again use "taşınıyorsun" because I think any other word will put shade on the sophistry impiled which seems to be the whole case. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 44 mins (2010-10-05 11:39:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Can someone look it up on the Turkish translation of the "Frogs" (Kurbağalar) by Aristophanes? |
