Cilindarska košuljica je bušna celom dužinom, ali je njen unutrašnji prečnik unutar određenih tolerancija. Nju je potrebno razbušiti do određnog prečnika (povećati joj unutrašnji prečnik, odnosno smanjiti debljinu njenih zidova) da bi odgovarala klipu u tom cilindru. Nakon razbušivanja sledi honovanje, tj. fina obrada njenih unutrašnjih zidova uz obilno korišćenje ulja. Reč "refinish" znači "fino obraditi" ili "polirati". Ovo se obično radi kada je sklop klipa i cilindarske košuljice izvan tolerancija, pa su i performanse motora na tom cilindru slabije. Tada se obično ceo sklop menja i koriste tzv. "specijale" tj. dimenzije veće ili manje od standardnih (oversize i undersize).

"Bore" je burgija, tako da "to bore" znači probušiti. Možda se te rupe doteruju u prečniku ili slično...
