Part of the UAB. I have been using the obvious literal translation, but now I'm not convinced that "Office" is the right word. I'm wondering whether I'd be better off going for Department, Service or Bureau. The other problem is whether to put the translation of "Oficina" at the start (e.g. "Department for") or at the end.

I don't think I'd go for 'department' - since that suggests it's a university department where classes are taught etc. However, I'd use 'centre' or 'service'.
Does the centre described below office a similar service to the UAB Oficina? If so, maybe 'centre' would be an option?
Another idea would be 'Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship'.
Just a thought.

Located on the Innovation Park developed by St John's College, University of Cambridge, St John's Innovation Centre provides flexible accommodation and business support for early stage knowledge based companies. The Centre differentiates itself from other property developments by:-
* Providing through an experienced team free advice to tenants on business issues.
* Supporting tenants and non tenants by engaging in local programmes with University Departments and Government Bodies to help promote the creation of wealth in the sub region.
* Helping entrepreneurs access funding through Business Angel Networks and venture funds.
* Acting as a catalyst in promoting technology locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
The Innovation Centre was opened in 1987, and as well as providing business advice to tenants, offers them flexible accommodation in leasing terms and the possibility to share communal facilities including conference rooms and a restaurant.

I generally agree with Sheila's option.
But they have almost certainly established a translation for that centre already and it would be better for you to adopt the "offical" line.
Why not send an e-mail to the "Oficina de Projectes i de Promoció de la Investigació" ( [email protected] ) and ask them about it. They are probably related departments. Or else ring them: 93 581 1636.
