Macadamia Dream 夏威夷之梦；Snack Bar 快餐店 ; 快餐厅

From the searches I have made online, the Chinese name for Macadamia is 澳洲坚果, literally Austrialian Nut, which I understand to be so named based on its country of origin, which is Australia. I couldn't find the link between Macadamia and Hawaii, which the other 2 answerers gave as their answer. Perhaps there is something here that I am not aware of...? If so, please acquaint me with such facts.

As for snack bar, amtbglo is right in her translation. Adding on to that, I would suggest to include the word healthy in front of snack bar - 健康零食棒 - as without it, the product comes across as an unhealthy junk food.

That is a literal translation.

In response to Lau Wei Tsinn's question about the translation for macadamia, the first time I had macadamia in Taiwan, I noticed that it was translated as "夏威夷果". The introduction to it on Wikipedia notes that it is 澳大利亞堅果, also known as 夏威夷果, 澳洲堅果. There's no explanation how it is related to Hawaii (夏威夷). However, after balancing the good and bad, as well as the practical and faithful aspects of the translation, I still prefer 夏威夷果, firstly because that's how it is called in the Taiwan's market now, and secondly because 夏威夷果 sounds more appealing than 澳洲堅果. In my mind, and I believe in most Taiwanese people's minds, Hawaii conjures an image of beach, warm weather, vacation, and relaxing atmosphere. So, comparing 夏威夷果之夢 and 澳洲堅果之夢, it is more likely that a customer would be attracted to the former than the latter. Having said that, 夏威夷果 is the translation I prefer to use for macadamia, marketing-wise, in Taiwan. ^^ <<also a macadamia lover! heehee

As for the translation of "snack bar", I like Lau Wei Tsinn's translation, for marketing reasons as well. ^^
