English term

lock-link

English to German Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering Lockout/Tagout
Context: "Do all employees have 2 locks (xx employees with xx stamped lock - link, line 108), tags, and gang hasps with old tag retained for past 30 days?"
First I thought this refers to a stamped lock, followed by the information "link, line 108", but maybe it is the "lock-link" which is stamped and is "line 108". But what is a lock-link in locks used for Lockout?
Proposed translations (German)
4 Bügel

Is the text mentioning "clocking in / out" from work or logging on to a particular machine / object?

Bügel

refers to the link of a padlock (as used in locking out machinery) that is stamped with company name.

I'd translate it as "Haben alle Angestellten 2 Vorhangschlösser (Firma xx Angestellte mit Firma xx geprägtem Bügel), etc."

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "@ Murphy: No "clocking in / out" from work or logging on to a particular machine / object". @Peter: seems plausible, so thanks, but I don't find enough evidence for making it a glossary entry. "
