Bio
I'd like to briefly present myself.

My name's Annalisa. I'm an Italian native speaker.
I was born in Gubbio, a gorgeous medieval town in Umbria - the very heart of Italy- with tremendous historical value and a fabulous place to visit.

I'm a professional university-educated translator. My linguistic combination is the following: EN, FR > IT.
Here are some info concerning my education, my employment history as well as my fields of expertise.


EDUCATION

2003 Degree in Translation issued by Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators of Trieste (Italy).

1995 Degree in Foreign Languages issued by University of Perugia (Italy).

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Current full time job since January 2005: FREELANCE TRANSLATOR

2003 - 2004 Consultant with CAMBRIDGE INSTITUTE, Lanciano (CH) Italy. Worked as a translator and taught English courses at the Liceo Linguistico of Cambridge Institute and at various important companies.

2001 - 2002 Program Manager, Purchasing Department in a very well-known company located in Foligno (PG) Italy. The company is world-wide leader in manufacturing industrial and aeronautical products (bearings and ball screws).
Managed all the activities concerning the Special Bearings Program, processed customers’ orders, checked suppliers’ delivery dates and internal production, oversaw transportation.
Organised documents and certificates – all within strict time limits.
Developed good communication skills while maintaining positive and effective working relationships with customers and suppliers.
