The Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) in the European Union (EU) is made up of the head or deputy head of mission from the EU member states. Its defined role is to prepare the agenda for the ministerial Council of the European Union meetings;
it may also take some procedural decisions. Here we publish the Draft Council conclusions on organ donation and transplantation that resulted from the debate on a document proposed by the Presidency of the European Commission on organ donation and transplantation.

English to Italian: OMS report on evaluation of Italian national transplantation programme (January 2008)
Source text - English
Following transmission of HIV to three blood recipients in the Tuscany Region (Florence) in 2007, the Italian health authorities requested the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe (WHO Europe) to undertake a review of the Italian programmes for
organ and tissue transplantation. Subsequent to this request and in collaboration with the World Health Organization Headquarters dedicated programme, an international expert in the person of Professor Jay Fishman was identified to carry out and report on this review. During his 4-day mission 17 to 21 December 2007, three sites were visited (CNT Rome, interregional centre Bologna and regional centre Florence), and the current guidelines and overall organization of the system were studied. As for many transplantation services,
certain problems have emerged as a result of an increase in the number of centres performing organ transplants and in the number and success of organ and tissue transplantation. The national centralization of the transplant system was a great advance
for the process of improving organ transplantation in Italy. Many individuals highly expert and committed to the well being of transplant recipients distinguish the system.

Bio
Ciao!
I'am an Italian science communicator mainly working in Health and Medicine fields. I have a Biology degree in Oceanography and a MD in Science Communication.

I can easily translate scientific articles or texts from English and French to Italian and differentiate translation depending on the final media: press, web pages ecc.

I spent two years in France at the Station Zoologique de Villefranche-sur-Mer (Nice) where I took my Biology degree and then worked as scientific mediator for the UNESCO project "La Navigation du Savoir" in partnership with the main Mediterranean Countries.

I particularly master Transplant issues since I collaborate with the communication office of the Italian National Transplant Centre, part of the Italian Ministry of Health. I have been project and communication manager for science projects financed by the European Commission and many Italian medical websites.

Beyond translation I can also edit, summarize and rearrange contents that need to be presented in a different form and layout.
