The history of the island begins around the 10th millennium BC, so we’ll jump ahead to biblical times when some of the island’s history is actually written in the bible. So many cultures have won and lost control of Cyprus, it would take volumes to explore it. The Assyrians, Egyptians and Persians have fought over Cyprus, and Alexander the Great ruled the country for a time beginning in 333 BC.

About 300 years later, Cleopatra committed suicide and Cyprus eventually fell to the Romans. The book of Acts, in the Christian bible, has many references to Paul’s travels throughout the area. It’s no wonder everyone wanted Cyprus, given the climate and scenic views. Ancient kingdoms wanted it for strategic purposes, but we know they enjoyed the other delights of Cyprus as well.

Flash forward to the 20th century when Cyprus was a British crown colony for about half of the 1900s. In 1960, Cyprus declared independence with the Zurich and London Agreement between Britain, Greece and Turkey. At the time, 77% of the population was Greek, 18% Turks and 4% other cultures. Northern Cyprus was established in the 1970s. There are eight border crossings between the north and south.

تاريخ الجزيرة يبدأ منذ حوالي الألفية العاشرة قبل الميلاد, لذلك سنجتاز بعض المراحل لنبدأ بالعصر الإنجيلي عندما ذُكر تاريخ الجزيرة في كتاب الإنجيل. هناك الكثير من الحضارات التي نجحت وفشلت في السيطرة على قبرص, وهذا سيتطلب مجلدات لإكتشافها أكثر. الآشوريين, المصريين والفرس حاربوا من أجل السيطرة على قبرص, وألكسندر الأكبر حكم الجزيرة لفترة من الزمن بدايةً من سنة 333 قبل الميلاد.

The owner is the person/people who have the right on the property of “*****’’, Block B, Floor 6, Flat no:12 *******, ********, which was built by ***** Construction Ltd., with the Sales Agreement signed with the owner and/or the Company.

With this agreement signed, the owner agrees not to do any changes in the exterior of the building (covering the balcony with glass as a sun-room, hanging clothes lines, changing the exterior painting) of *********. Otherwise, he/she will be asked to pay the penalty which will be determined by the Board. Thus, the owner will also be responsible for the expenses of turning the exterior of the building into its original looks.

*******’s cleaning and maintenance will be done regularly by the company and/or person whom is assigned by the company. The owner will give ****TL monthly to the company for the mentioned purposes in the first week of every month which adds up to be *****TL annually and this amount can be paid at once depending on the owner. The amount may change according to the conditions of the current situations and the market in JANUARY. This amount will be determined by the Board. Apartment’s maintenance and expenses will be calculated at the end of the year by the Board and the owners will be informed. Thus the next year’s fee will then be determined based on the expenses of the current year.

المالك هو الشخص/الأشخاص من لديه الحق على عقار *******, قاطع بي, طابق 6, شقة رقم 12, منطقة ***, ******, والذي قامت ببناءه ****** للبناء المحدودة, بإتفاقية البيع الموقعة من قِبل المالك و/أو الشركة.

بهذه الإتفاقية الموقعة, المالك يوافق على أن لا يُحدث أي تغيير خارجي في المبنى (تغطية الشرفة بالزجاج حتى تكون غرفة شمس, تعليق الملابس على حبال, تغيير الطلاء الخارجي) في مبنى ******. وإلا, سيُطلب منه/منها دفع غرامة سيحددها المجلس. وهكذا, سيكون المالك مسؤولاً عن المصروفات التي سيتطلبها الشكل الخارجي للمبنى للرجوع لشكله الذي كان عليه.

تنظيف وصيانة ******* سيتم بشكل دوري عن طريق الشركة و/أو الشخص الذي عينته الشركة لهذا الغرض. المالك سيعطي ****** ليرة تركية شهرياً للشركة للأغراض المذكورة عند كل بداية أسبوع من كل شهر والتي ستكون ******* ليرة تركية سنوياً وهذا المبلغ يمكن أن يُدفع دفعة واحدة بناءاً على رغبة المالك. المبلغ يمكن أن يتغير وفقاً لظروف السوق الحالية في شهر يناير. هذا المبلغ سيحدده المجلس. سيتم حساب صيانة الشقة ومصروفاتها عند نهاية السنة من قِبل المجلس وسيتم إعلام المالك به. وهكذا, سيتم تحديد رسوم السنة المقبلة وفقاً لمصروفات السنة الحالية.

Beside being an Arabic-English translator, I am also a CELTA certified English instructor. I have real life experience in electrical engineering and oil and gas (I worked for Schlumberger) and have a master in human resources. I have worked for companies and schools in different countries including Libya, Cyprus, and Turkey where my Arabic as well as my English were very valuable in the business I was doing. I have experience doing translations for schools (education), a travel agencies, a fashion retail company (training and development/HR) and other projects for a variety of other companies.
