I completed my studies at the School for interpreters and translators in Rome and became an active translator in 1988. I moved to Milan, where I started with a typing machine devoting my time to the translation into Italian of wonderful Stevenson's Treasure Island, then to a few books for children. Later, most of my activities focused on working with Russian and English, as technical translator and liason interpreting in Milan, mostly in the oil field. I've always worked occasionally also with French and Spanish, to date. Since I came back to Rome, my home town, I worked for many years as a freelance translator for a translation and localization Company named Word in Progress, in marketing, IT, legal, and other fields. Then I started a collaboration with SDL International, to date. |
