I have been working as a translator for 17 years, and I've been immersed in a multilingual life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a Turkish - English bilingual household in San Antonio, TX, where I also picked up Spanish. Living and working in Catalonia, Spain for the last 15 years has not only made me technically proficient in both Catalan and Spanish, it has given me a very high level of colloquial fluency. Having majored in History at Columbia University, with a strong core curriculum that included sciences, critical writing, as well as arts and humanities, I can easily move among a variety of subjects and professional languages. Furthermore, as an avid reader, my interests are wide-ranging.While I also work as an English teacher, my passion is writing and translation. I am dedicated to meticulous translation that is natural in style, and I have a highly disciplined work ethic in which organization, efficiency and commitment are key.
